About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting students who need extra help to catch up with the curriculum. You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions, particularly in literacy and numeracy, to ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed. Whether you're an experienced TA or looking to develop your skills further, you'll find this position both rewarding and fulfilling.
Application Requirements:
• Experience: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially in Key Stage 1, is highly desirable.
• Qualifications: A relevant TA qualification or experience working with young children in an educational setting.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a nurturing attitude are essential. Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a plus.
• Commitment: A genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Student Support: Provide tailored support to students needing extra help with literacy and numeracy, ensuring they stay on track with their peers.
• Intervention Delivery: Assist in planning and delivering small group or one-on-one interventions, focusing on key areas where students need improvement.
• Classroom Assistance: Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Progress Monitoring: Help monitor and report on the progress of students receiving additional support, ensuring that interventions are effective.
