Science Teacher

We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September at a secondary school in Hastings. The ideal candidate will have a robust knowledge of the science curriculum, effective communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Delivering Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that engage and challenge students.
• Assessing and recording student progress, providing feedback to support improvement.
• Managing classroom behaviour to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Acting as a role model for students, demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and good listening skills.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices.
• Participating in school events and contributing to the school community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent qualification.
• Recent relevant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom management skills and strong subject knowledge.
• A reliable and committed individual who is interested in student development.
• Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
