Accounts Assistant - Fully Office Based (£27,000 per annum)

Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers? Macildowie are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team on a full-time, office-based basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the company's financial processes and helping maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and ensure invoices are authorised as per company policy.
• Input authorised purchase invoices into SAGE.
• Control GRNI and assist with month-end preparations.
• Manage and resolve invoice queries to ensure timely processing.
• Reconcile supplier balances and statements with SAGE data.
• Assist with quarterly VAT returns and maintain accurate PVA records for VAT audits.
• Reconcile SAGE control accounts, sales ledgers, Invoice Finance, and bank accounts (across 4 currencies).
• Support the preparation of end-of-year accounts.
• Adhere to company accounting authorisation procedures.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Support the business with flexible working arrangements when needed.
• Help maintain a neat and organised working environment in line with health and safety standards.
