Commercial Manager - Metalwork

£65,000 - £75,000 + Company shares/profits

Position Overview: My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director to join their leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction or steelwork industry, with a proven track record in commercial management and business development. As the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, and enhancing profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with company goals and market conditions.

* Oversee all commercial activities, including contract negotiations, risk management, and financial planning.

* Lead and mentor the commercial team to achieve departmental and company objectives.

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our market presence.

* Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.

* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

* Prepare and present regular commercial reports to the executive team.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field; MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.

* 10 years of experience in a Commercial Management role within the Steelwork/Metalwork sectors

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

* Proven ability to develop and implement successful commercial strategies.

* Strong analytical and financial acumen.

* Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
