Multi-Skilled Engineer

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 p.a. depending on experience + Overtime + Company benefits

My client is a leading manufacturer of specialist products for multiple industries, including construction. They are now searching for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join their team.

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer you will be responsible for optimising the production process by applying advanced engineering and technology principles within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities as a Multi-Skilled Engineer:

Evaluate and optimise mechanical performance across components, devices, and machines.
Ensure equipment safety, reliability, and efficiency through maintenance and modifications.
Conduct test procedures, offering technical guidance where necessary.
Recommend and implement enhancements for production machinery.
Oversee the commissioning process for plant, machinery, and systems.
Maintain compliance with British (BS), European (EN), and other standards, alongside company health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Requirements as the Multi-Skilled Engineer:

Preferred qualifications include HNC, NVQ, or equivalent in engineering
Strong technical skills with extensive knowledge and the ability to apply it to practical challenges
Awareness of health and safety practices with the ability to perform well under pressure
Effective oral and written communication skills, confident in dealing with various stakeholders
Excellent teamworking abilities and strong organisational skills
Analytical and problem-solving mindset with flexibility to adapt to new technologies
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving faults, with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and lean manufacturing principles.
