Responsibilities:

This position will suit you if you enjoy working in a fast paced environment. You will play a vital role in maintaining and expanding our client's supplier and customer network. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and engaging with potential suppliers and traders
  • Comparing pricing and negotiating business terms for items ranging from an Xbox to heavy plant materials.
  • Preparing quotations for customers
  • Placing and managing purchase orders
  • Tracking and ensuring timely delivery of orders
  • Coordinating with the warehouse and logistics team
  • Building and managing strong relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Working to tight SLA's and deadlines

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Strong work ethic and confidence
  • Experience in a related role
  • Excellent communication and telephone etiquette
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Own transport for commuting to the workplace

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Technical knowledge related to Maintenance, Repairs and Operations industry (MRO)
  • Proficiency in foreign languages
  • Previous experience in purchasing or sales

Technologies:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
