Finance Manager - High-Growth SaaS Business - Equity & Bonus!

You'll ensure compliance, accuracy, and internal control while managing payables, receivables, payroll, and statutory reporting. Support audit, tax, and regulatory requirements and help scale our fast-moving company responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Operations
- Oversee daily finance operations: accounts payable, receivable, expense management, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage relationships with external accountants and payroll providers.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close of management accounts.
- Maintain up-to-date ledgers and reconciliations for internal and external reporting.
Compliance & Control
- Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors for year-end processes.
- Submit tax filings (VAT, corporation tax, PAYE) accurately and on time.
- Maintain and improve financial controls, accounting policies, and risk frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards (UK GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
Process & System Improvements
- Implement and maintain financial systems and tools as needed.
- Streamline financial workflows and documentation for efficiency and audit readiness.
- Support contract review from a finance and billing perspective to ensure alignment with revenue recognition and cost management.
Cross-functional Partnering
- Partner with People Ops on payroll, benefits, and compensation processes.
- Provide finance input into operational and commercial processes.
- Work with the management team to refine budgeting and tracking processes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience ideally in a high-growth SaaS or technology business.
- Strong grounding in core finance operations and UK compliance requirements.
- Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Confident managing external providers and ensuring quality in outsourced processes.
- Highly organised, process-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable balancing hands-on work with strategic process development.
