We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of plant equipment and machinery, ensuring that production processes run smoothly. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
£21.43/hr holiday pay included, Mon - Fri, 39 hours a week.
Duties
- Operate and monitor plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to prevent downtime.
- Dig and prepare sites for various operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and improve operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the plant environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required, including operating commercial vehicles when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating industrial equipment.
- Ability to dig and prepare sites effectively, demonstrating physical capability for manual tasks.
- A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain one is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required by the operational needs of the plant.
