Prospero Teaching is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join an outstanding Special Educational Needs school in Lichfield. This inclusive school is passionate about providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment for students with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Physical Disabilities (PD).

The Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. You will work alongside a team of skilled support staff, therapists, and educational psychologists to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons that are differentiated to cater to students' unique learning styles and needs.
Creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) to ensure all students progress both academically and personally.
Using a range of teaching strategies and approaches to engage students, including those with complex and challenging behaviors.
Working closely with support staff to manage the classroom effectively and maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to support students' holistic development.Key Responsibilities:

Teach and inspire students with SEN, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Assess, track, and report on students' progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere, ensuring all students are engaged and included in classroom activities.
Attend meetings, contribute to multi-agency reviews, and collaborate with the wider school team to implement effective learning strategies.The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in an SEN setting.
A strong understanding of a variety of special educational needs, including Autism, PMLD, and SLD.
Experience of working with non-verbal students and implementing communication systems like PECS or Makaton.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students, staff, and parents in a positive and professional manner.
