Overview: A Senior Project Engineer is needed for a client in the Thames Region, offering hybrid working options. The role involves managing the design, construction, commissioning, and execution of contracts to meet specifications efficiently, on time, and within budget while ensuring health, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and update construction programs to meet key milestones.

* Organise and lead planning sessions with stakeholders.

* Prepare tender invitations, analyse responses, and recommend awards.

* Coordinate technical aspects between engineering and supply chain partners.

* Support site management, resolve issues, and review invoices.

* Promote innovation and improved working practices to minimize risk.

* Manage the risk register and provide updates, assist with early warnings.

* Attend various meetings related to Health & Safety and project progress.

* Report on safety incidents and near misses.

* Collaborate with Quantity Surveyor on cost plans and monitor project costs.

* Ensure adherence to Health and Safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

* Engineering experience

* Degree or equivalent in a construction-related discipline

* Strong communication skills

* Understanding of Health and Safety legislation (CDM 2015)

* Experience in delivering engineering projects

* Target and delivery-driven

Desirable:

* Experience with ICheme contracts

* Chartered status or working towards it

* Experience in the water industry (non-infrastructure)

* APMP or equivalent certification

This role is suitable for an experienced engineer with a background in project delivery, health and safety compliance, and strong communication skills, ideally with additional qualifications and experience in the water industry and contract management
