Our client is based in COVENTRY they are a rapidly expanding Time Critical Logistics Transport Company , who specialise in moving Automative parts across the UK, Europe and worldwide via Dedicated Vehicles of varying sizes, Air Charter and On-board Courier.

Due to expansion our client is now looking for a WEEKEND Transport Operations Clerk based from HOME to join the team. You will ideally have experience in European or UK Time Critical / Sameday Logistics / Air Charter or other urgent ad-hoc Transport background to join their growing team , but general Transport Operations and Customer Service from a Transport environment will also be considered.

The role is max 30 hrs a weekend, but mostly only circa 20 hrs and THIS WILL NOT SUIT ANYONE WHO IS ALREADY WORKING FULL TIME !

The home based shift will start on Friday evening at 5pm, when you will log on from home and cover the operation after the office closes until 10pm, then log on again on Saturday am at 7am to normally 11/12pm and the same on Sunday and finish off with a handover at 5/5.30am on Monday am. The hours are slightly flexible, but must cover Friday from 5am to Monday 5am

Your role will involve keeping track and an eye on things over the weekend, but it won't be constant. You will be dealing with e-mails, responding to e-mails, updating jobs, clients and delaing with any emergencies and generally ensuring that services are delivered as agreed.

You will maintain and update the database and the required records to ensure the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all transport activities. Ensuring all contracting agreements are accurate and legally compliant.

You will liaise with Customer & Suppliers where appropriate, tracking shipments ensuring Transit time/deadlines are met.

Sameday Courier experience also will be considered
