Rhodium Consulting are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with their Head of Department and Finance Controller, managing key financial transactions and reporting.

If you have experience processing accounts up to trial balance within an SME and have recent experience handling Sales/Purchase Ledger transactions on Sage 50 (Essential), we'd love to hear from you! AAT qualification would be a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor and maintain the main accounts email, responding to urgent requests

* Raise large volumes of sales invoices on Sage 50 daily and send them to customers

* Manage credit control, including reconciliation of sales ledgers and customer accounts using Sage 50 and CRM software

* Process sales and purchase transactions and verify sales orders in the CRM system

* Maintain the Fixed Assets Register

* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and month-end closing activities

* Conduct ad-hoc analysis of company expense lines

* Reconcile loan accounts

* Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and account queries

* Provide cover for finance team members during holidays

* Maintain organized financial documents and CRM database records

* Support general administrative duties within the finance department

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar position

* Working knowledge of Sage 50 (Essential)

* Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail

* Knowledge of financial services and basic accounting principles

* Ability to manage large volumes of emails, invoices, and data

* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a team-oriented mindset
