My client is an industry leading logistics business and are currently experiencing a period of sustained growth. Due to an internal promotion, they are looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join their high performing team.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Transport Operations Supervisor to oversee and enhance our transport operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient deliveries, optimising processes, and maintaining high service levels. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong operational skills to make a significant impact in a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:
Plan, manage, and coordinate transport operations to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Optimise routes to reduce costs and improve service quality.
Ensure full compliance with DVSA regulations, tachograph requirements, and driver working hours.
Client and Customer Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding delivery schedules and performance.
Address and resolve transport-related issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Investigate the root causes of service failures, providing solutions and ensuring they are not repeated.
Strategic Contribution:
Contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategic goals and objectives.
Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in transportation practices, focusing on cost reduction and service enhancement.
Manage and support a team of drivers and logistics personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members, customers and partners.
Liaise with the Fleet Manager and Compliance Director on vehicle or HR requirements and support needs.Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role within the logistics or transport industry.
Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance in the UK.
A valid Transport Manager CPC is desirable but not essential.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in transport management systems.
Outstanding communication and organisational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Working Hours: 9 hours per day with a one-hour break.
Bonuses: Performance-based bonuses are available.
Weekend On-Call: Weekend on-call responsibilities will be required on occasion, shared with other team members, following a settling-in period within the business and will be at additional pay.
