Contek Recruitment are currently working exclusively with a precision aerospace engineering client, who specialise in supplying sheet metal and machined components to the global aerospace industry. They supply both engine and airframe parts (military and passenger) to prestigious companies such as Rolls-Royce, Airbus, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Bombardier and many more.

Due to significant growth and investment, they are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their dynamic team and uphold their reputation for superior quality and precision. This is a full-time, permanent role.

Position Overview: As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing their quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a critical role in maintaining the highest level of quality for their aerospace components and assemblies, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the Quality department, including quality engineers and inspectors.

* Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with AS9100 standards.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

* Conduct regular internal audits and manage external audits from customers and regulatory bodies.

* Analyze quality performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

* Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

* Oversee the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.

* Facilitate training programs to enhance quality awareness and skills among employees.

* Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and customers.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in quality management/quality engineering within the aerospace manufacturing industry.

* Knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace industry regulations.

* Proven track record of successfully overseeing quality teams and systems.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in quality management tools and software.

* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
