Job DescriptionJob Duties: - Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Verify and reconcile invoices, statements, and payments
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as required
Required Qualifications: - Proven experience working in accounts payable or a similar role
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education: - A relevant accounting qualification or equivalent experience
Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
Knowledge and Skills: - Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Additional certifications in accounting or finance
Working Conditions: - Office-based role in Blackburn, Lancashire
- Normal working hours, Monday to Friday
- Potential for occasional overtime during month-end or audit periods
