Engineering Technician
The job:
An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced maintenance technician to join our garage as a PSV Engineer/Mechanic. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the role involves maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles. (this will involve shift work including earlies, lates and weekends).
What does it involve?
Shifts are 5 over 7 Sunday to Saturday (hours to be confirmed at interview)
• £18.95 per hour (over time available at £28.42 p/h).
• Servicing and repairs to DVSA standards.
• Continuous improvement of vehicle standards.
• MOT preparation.
• Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to the highest standard.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
• Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines.
• Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary.
• A PCV license is desirable but not necessary.
• Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable.
