Locum Acute Occupational Therapist - Band 6/7

Banding: Band 6 or Band 7 (depending on experience)

Job Description:

* We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the team in Slough, Berkshire.

* You will be working within an acute hospital setting, supporting the assessment, rehabilitation, and safe discharge of patients.

* The role involves managing a varied caseload including patients with complex manual handling needs and prescribing appropriate equipment to support discharge plans.

Key Duties:

* Conducting functional assessments and providing treatment plans for patients across general medicine and orthopaedic/surgical wards

* Supporting timely and safe discharge through collaborative working with the multidisciplinary team

* Recommending and arranging manual handling equipment as required

* Liaising with community teams and families as part of discharge planning

* Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records

Requirements:

* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist

* Previous experience in acute hospital settings is essential

* Confident in managing complex discharge planning and equipment needs

* Strong communication and team-working skills

* Availability for full-time hours preferred
