Senior Electrical Design Engineer £55,000-£60,000 plus excellent benefitsLocation: Flexible, (working from home or office, periodic attendance at their office in the Chelmsford area).  Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to lead innovative and high-profile projects in the data centre industry? We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client’s team of specialists, delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions across the UK and internationally. The RoleAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will oversee the design and consultancy of Electrical Building Services for key projects. You will lead a team of talented design engineers, ensure projects meet high specifications, and play a pivotal role in shaping the business's strategic direction. With the opportunity to travel internationally, this could be the next step for you that will elevate your career. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design reviews, develop and approve plans, and manage project schedules.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
  • Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals.
  • Mentor team members, ensuring high standards and continuous development.
  • Support business growth through networking and representing the company at events.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement company strategies.
  • Assist in project reporting, document control, and quality assurance processes.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Proven experience in mission-critical or similar projects.
  • A strong track record in electrical engineering, ideally including leadership and project management.
  • Experience of using Amtech, ETAP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks preferred.
  • Knowledge of modern relay technology metering and the IEC 61850 protocol (desirable).
  • MV/HV experience or a willingness to develop expertise in this area.
