We are recruiting a Class Teacher to work in a school in Stonehouse on a part-time basis, this role is for a Year 4/5 class. As the Class Teacher, you will be working 2 days per week as part of a job share where planning time will be allocated. This is a maternity cover role to begin in January 2025 and will be ongoing for the full academic year.

The school is rated “Good” by Ofsted and is also a 1-form entry mainstream Primary School.

The Class Teacher position, is a long-term role working with the school until the end of the academic year. This role involves full planning, teaching, and marking expectations. An experienced teacher is preferred but an ECT/NQT is encouraged to apply.

Job role

Teaching in a mixed Year 4/5 class
Working 2 days per week
Shared planning, marking and assessment required
Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
Work with job share to plan lessons
Build relationships with the pupils, parents and staff
Attend CPD relevant to the role - whole staff and SLT meetings
Show secure subject knowledge to support learning
Follow school policy regarding behaviour management systems
Required skills and experience.

Experience in teaching across primary schools including KS2.
Must have the relevant teacher status: QTS primary/ ECT's are encouraged to apply.
Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication skills.
Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
Previous Supply Teacher experience not required.
