Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a professional and organised School Receptionist to join a vibrant Secondary School in Denton. This is a key role within the school, where you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. The position starts ASAP, so we are seeking a candidate who can hit the ground running.

The Role
As the School Receptionist, you will provide essential front-of-house services, ensuring a welcoming and efficient reception area. You will handle a variety of administrative tasks while ensuring the smooth flow of communication within the school. The successful candidate will work closely with staff and support the wider school community by helping to maintain an organised and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

Greeting and assisting students, parents, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Answering incoming telephone calls, transferring them as appropriate, and managing voicemail.
Handling general enquiries via email and in person, providing accurate information and directing queries to the relevant departments.
Managing the sign-in process for all visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
Performing general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining records.
Supporting the school's administrative team with additional tasks as needed.Person Specification
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who:

Has experience in a receptionist or front-facing role, ideally within an educational or similar setting.
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanour.
Is highly organised, with strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other basic IT systems.
Is a reliable and positive team player, with the ability to work independently when required.
Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and maintaining the confidentiality of school records.Position Details
