We're looking for a an Operations Accountant to join our vibrant finance team. This site-based role offers you the chance to work closely with operational teams to shape financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement. You'll be at the heart of decision-making, providing insightful analysis and ensuring robust financial controls.

What You'll Be DoingIn this highly visible role, you will:

  • Partner with operational leaders, delivering financial insights to guide key decisions.
  • Produce accurate and timely weekly and monthly accounts, forecasts, and performance analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis on labour and yield to help operational teams mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
  • Ensure strong financial control across stock management, overhead spend, and capital expenditure projects.
  • Lead financial training for non-finance colleagues, empowering them with tools and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and sustaining cost-saving opportunities.

About YouYou'll bring a blend of technical acumen and commercial insight, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience: Proven track record in finance business partnering, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent variance analysis skills, and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with operational finance processes; experience with modern acconting systems and forecasting tools able to analyse performance.
  • Qualifications: CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified or part-qualified (study support included)

Your ability to communicate complex financial concepts with clarity and build trusted relationships will be key to your success.
