Are you passionate about supporting university students?

Randstad Student Support is looking for dedicated Specialist Autism Mentors in Aberdeen to assist students with autism. In this impactful role, you'll provide one-on-one guidance, helping them navigate academic challenges and reach their potential.

Starting as soon as possible, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, helping students build confidence and develop essential skills. Your responsibilities will include:

Listening to students to manage stress and anxiety

Encouraging independent learning

Developing organisational and time management skills

Desirable skills include:

Experience of working with autistic clients

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship

Punctuality and reliability

Good organisational skills

Ability to manage a caseload of students

Six National Autistic Society (NAS) online training modules:

• Understanding autism

• Autism and communication

• Autism and sensory experience

• Autism, stress, and anxiety

• Autism: supporting families

• Women and girls
