The successful candidate will play an essential role in supporting patients throughout their recovery, providing both clinical expertise and emotional support.
Qualifications and Experience - Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN): Valid UK NMC registration is required.
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a mental health or acute care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Patient-Focused Care: A compassionate, patient-focused approach to supporting individuals in crisis.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: Capability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities - Comprehensive Nursing Care: Provide nursing care to patients experiencing mental health crises, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team: Work with a team of healthcare professionals to assess, monitor, and support patients through their recovery.
- Medication and Treatment Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments, following care plans and best practices.
- Emotional Support: Provide compassionate care, offering emotional support to patients during their time of crisis.
- Record Keeping and Care Planning: Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to care planning and risk management processes.
- Staff Guidance and Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior staff while fostering teamwork and collaboration across shifts.
