We are seeking a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS1 child in a primary school located in Southwark.
This role is perfect for candidates who are passionate about working with children with SEND and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will be a valued part of the team, working under the guidance of the SENCO to provide tailored support and help the student reach their full potential.
The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for someone who has:
- Experience working with children in KS1
- Relevant qualifications for teaching assistance, such as CACHE or SEND certifications
- Strong communication skills for effective interactions with students, parents/carers, and colleagues
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with resilience under pressure
- Flexibility and adaptability in approach, with a readiness to take initiative when needed
