About the role

Our Regional Distribution centres supply our 198 cash and carry sites with all their products including Fresh, Frozen and Ambient stock. 

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Hatfield Distribution Centre or an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to undertake the role of Stock Integrity Operative in our Warehouse on a permanent basis here in our Distribution Centre in Hatfield.  The successful candidate will join a small team of operatives responsible for ensuring that stock levels are reflected properly in the Warehouse Stock System.

The successful applicants will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working any five from seven days, full-time with rotating shifts 06.00hrs - 14.00 hrs (Wk1) and 14.00 hrs - 22.00 (Wk2), so there will be Saturday or Sunday working dependent on rotas.  Overtime is regularly available too, but not guaranteed.  

The role can involve manual handling of weights up to 25kg and using material handling equipment such as low level order pickers, pump/pallet trucks and reach trucks.

Please note that all candidates will have to undertake a drug and alcohol test as part of the pre-employment tests.

Role Responsibility

The successful candidate will be part of a team which is responsible for ensuring stock levels are reflected properly in the Warehouse Stock System, where main duties include Monthly Cycle counting of stock in all chambers, wrongly located pallets investigations, stock corrections, branch claim investigations.

You will need

·       Knowledge of database applications.

·       Knowledge of Locator Warehouse Systems.

·       Experience of using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

·       General system administration.

·       Good organisational skills.

·       Flexible approach to workload.

·       Ability to work well under pressure and be of a calm disposition.

·       Self-motivated and good team player with position approach,

·       Commitment to working occasional overtime.

·       Good time and attendance.
