Job Title: Housing Officer
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Location: Sutherland Quarters, Russel Way, Three Bridges RH10 1ET
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am-6pm with 1 hour unpaid break, with availability for call outs on rota
Contract Type: Full Time
The role
You will be part of a team that focuses on tenant sign-ups, support, and housing management, ensuring timely interviews and risk assessments with prospective clients. Responsibilities include assisting tenants with Housing Benefit claims and accessing relevant benefits, while collaborating with external agencies to meet tenants' broader needs.
The candidate will lead on Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases, prioritising high-risk situations, and managing communications among all parties involved. They are expected to contribute to service improvement by ensuring compliance with ASB policy and legislation. Collaboration with partner agencies is crucial for safeguarding residents and effectively addressing ASB.

What are we looking for?
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Good written communication and numeracy skills
- Basic IT skills
- Full clean UK Driving License (not required but preferred)
- Knowledge of Housing Legislation
- Experience working in housing and providing services to social housing residents
- Experience building strong partnerships with agencies like social services, police and local authority
