Assistant Design Manager - PlymouthDue to continued growth, the position of Assistant Design Manager - Buildings has become available to join our successful team based in Plymouth. This is to support delivery of buildings infrastructure for docking a submarine within the dock facility. The facility is being upgraded within a working dockyard and integration is required with site wide service distribution.

Please note you must be eligible for Security Clearance to be considered for this role. (5 years residency in the UK/British Passport)

Role Requirements

• As the Buildings Design Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the buildings designs by the Consultants meets expectations. Ensuring systems are designed against a clear statement of compliance with defined requirements, including safety functional requirements and demonstration that the design meets relevant HSE requirements.

• You will line manage a small team of multidisciplinary technical engineers. The team you line manage will review the Consultants deliverables to ascertain that they are fit for purpose and meet the client's needs .

• Design and construction of major new industrial buildings with multifunctionality - workshops, storage, offices etc.

• It would be beneficial to have experience on high hazard facilities in the nuclear sector or hospitals such as X-ray facilities

• A minimum of a Batchelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering is required with preferred Chartered Architect or Engineer, registered with appropriate body.
