Services Accountant (Planning and Environmental Services)

£300 per day (umbrella)

Full Time Contract (6 months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Services Accountant in Elmbridge. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

To provide financial information and advice to the Head of Finance, Chief Accountant, Team Heads and budget holders
Overseeing the budget performance, prepare the final accounts, and advise to Planning, Environmental and Customer Services functions
To support the development of the organisation's rolling medium term financial strategy
To be responsible for the preparation of the Final Accounts for those services within the postholder's responsibilities
To prepare monthly revenue budget monitoring reports for budget managers

The candidate:

Must be a member or part qualified member of a CCAB Body (preferably CIPFA)

Education to a degree level in a relevant field is desirable
Experience in a similar role in the public sector is essential
