Hurst Group is actively recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to join our interior fit-out company, which offers full turnkey solutions, from niche batch interior joinery to full refurbishment projects. The business operates in both supply-only and supply-and-install markets, servicing a diverse client base ranging from blue-chip retailers and boutique fashion stores to hotels and airports. This role is a permanent position reporting directly to the Sales Director, focusing on driving growth and developing repeat market opportunities across various interior market segments, including retail, leisure, education, and office/workspace environments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and target specific project opportunities in strategic areas, including Greater Manchester, the M62 Corridor, Birmingham, and the Midlands.

* Develop repeat customer relationships in geographic areas and with clients not currently part of the business portfolio.

* Maintain customer contact throughout the bid process, working closely with the Estimating/Bid Preparation team.

* Take an active role in closing bids and converting them into confirmed orders.

* Actively manage accounts to ensure repeat business opportunities and long-term client satisfaction.

Experience and Skills Required:

* Demonstrable track record of developing customer relationships and generating repeat business opportunities within interiors, joinery manufacture, shop fitting, or office workspace fit-out environments.

* Experience working with direct end users and consultants who influence the supply chain.

* Strong understanding of the interiors market and its various segments.

* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

* Self-motivated and results-oriented with a focus on meeting targets.
