We are a leading education recruitment agency seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Margate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proven track record in SEN support to provide tailored assistance to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide experienced 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Assist the class teacher in planning, delivering, and adapting educational activities for pupils with complex needs.
Implement behaviour management strategies effectively and confidently handle challenging behaviour.
Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the students.
Support students' emotional, social, and academic progress through positive reinforcement and customised support plans.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and collaborate with staff and parents to provide consistent support.

Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
Strong understanding of SEN support strategies, particularly with children on the autism spectrum or with behavioural needs.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN-focused certifications) are highly desirable.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage challenging situations with a calm and professional approach.
Immediate availability to start.
