We are now seeking a dedicated and experienced School Business Manager to join their team and contribute to the smooth operation and strategic development of the school.

Job Overview:

The School Business Manager will play a crucial role in managing the school's financial, administrative, and estate functions. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in school business management, be proficient in using the Financial Management System (FMS), and have experience line managing a team of administrative and estate staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

* Oversee the school's budget and manage financial records.

* Ensure compliance with financial regulations.

* Prepare financial reports and forecasts for the Headteacher and Governors.

* Monitor and control income and expenditure to ensure the school remains financially sustainable.

Administrative Oversight:

* Lead and manage the administrative team, ensuring efficient office operations.

* Implement and maintain effective administrative systems and processes.

* Develop and oversee administrative policies and procedures.

Estate Management:

* Supervise the estate staff, ensuring the school's facilities are maintained to a high standard.

* Oversee health and safety compliance and manage site development projects.

* Ensure the school environment is safe, secure, and conducive to learning.

Strategic Planning:

* Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the school.

* Assist in the formulation of school policies and plans.

* Provide leadership in operational decision-making processes.

Key Requirements:

* At least 2 years of experience in school business management.

* Proficiency in using the Financial Management System (FMS).

* Experience in line managing a team of administrative and estate staff.

* Excellent financial acumen and attention to detail.
