In QA, we are dedicated to delivering a unique and thrilling gameplay experience. Working side-by-side with Production and Development, it is our goal as a department to accommodate and nurture the creativity and the ambitions of our staff.
What does an Associate QA Lead Tester at CIG do?
Work directly with a Lead QA Tester to coordinate testing efforts on all modules of the game.
Create, maintain and execute test checklists and verify resolved issues in game.
Work with Development and Production to create, maintain and share documentation/information within your team and across the QA department globally.
Maintain an organized bug database, vetting issues from testers to ensure clear written comprehension in bug reports.
Highlight issues to relevant production staff, pushing back when quality standards are in question.
Form plans and tools for finding exploits and other destructive testing.
Support a Lead QA Tester in planning tasks for, mentoring and supporting a team of QA Testers.
Help to develop and evolve both new and existing Quality Assurance methodologies, and ensure current processes are being adhered to.
Provide detailed reports on any ongoing or completed tasks to relevant parties.
What you can expect from your first six months in QA
A comprehensive training programme, followed by further Leadership training.
Post-training, you will be assigned to one of our existing teams, based on your qualities and skills.
You will work with your Lead QA Tester and a team to test, help develop and influence new and existing game features and systems.
Alongside your Lead QA Tester, you will guide a team of testers to assist in the development of one of CIG's game projects.
What do we expect from our Associate QA Lead Testers?
Great understanding of QA testing methodologies and technical requirements for games.
Experience creating and/or maintaining test plans and checklists, using software such as TestRail or Excel.
Strong time-management skills with the ability to focus on given priorities, adapt and be flexible to changing requests.
Proficiency in MS Office and the use of defect tracking tools, e.g. Jira, Redmine, Devtrack.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with an excellent eye for detail.
Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles.
A thorough knowledge of video games development.
Natural curiosity and an enthusiasm for finding bugs.
Experience in a professional QA Environment (preferably in the games industry).
