Maintenance Operative - temp to perm

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with one hour break unpaid

£27,350 per annum

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Maintenance Operative to work as a part of a team at a large residential development in Stratford. The successful candidate will be responsible for flushing taps, conducting monthly temperature tests in line with L8 regulations and performing weekly lift checks. You will assist with testing life safety systems and handle a range of ad hoc maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation at all times. The role includes both planned and reactive maintenance work across the site, addressing issues such as defects, trip hazards, and security concerns. Additionally, you will assist with light bulb replacements, respond to emergencies and support first aid incidents when required. A proactive approach to identifying hazards and maintaining the safety and appearance of communal areas is essential. This is a varied role that also involves working closely with building technicians and management to ensure the smooth operation of all building services. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a good command of the English language, basic DIY skills and the ability to write clear reports. You should be polite, courteous, and present a smart, clean appearance at all times. There will be 3 weeks temporary trial required. Start ASAP
