Senior Nurse (Hospice)

Salary: Up to £37,000

37.5 hours per week

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly motivated Senior Nurse to join our client's hospice team. This pivotal role is perfect for a nurse looking to enhance their leadership skills while making a profound difference in the lives of patients with life-limiting conditions. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a strong passion for palliative care and a desire to ensure that patients receive the highest standard of compassionate, holistic care.

Qualifications

• RGN (Registered General Nurse) with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
• Registered on the NMC register
• Palliative care qualification (desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Enthusiastic and dedicated to enhancing practice and skills
• Ability to take charge of a shift and delegate responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing staff
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ensure the delivery of holistic care to patients
• Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Act as a role model in the delivery of care, ensuring the highest standards are maintained
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families
• Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of palliative care services
