We're currently looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our welcoming and close-knit H beauty family at The Champagne Bar in Bristol.
Harrods is bringing more magic, innovation, and theatre not only to the beauty market but also to the dining industry through our H beauty standalone stores across the UK. As this no normal beauty hall, we are bringing on board some of the highest profile partners in the business and aspire to provide a world class dining experience all within our unique H beauty stores.
About the Role
As an Assistant Kitchen Manager, your role is to act as a vital part of the team by ensuring the smooth running of a section and providing support to the Kitchen Manager and other team members. You'll actively provide direction and guidance to the team to deliver the operational requirements of the day as needed.
In this role, you'll assist in the management and supervision of kitchen staff when necessary, creating staff rotas and schedules, completing paperwork and training new staff members. You'll collaborate with the management in planning and forecasting of stock and orders, also supporting with the organisation, stock rotation and labelling of food stored. You'll guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing the high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all-food related outlets.
About You
You'll have previous experience within a professional kitchen, with a strong track record of time spent within a high-end restaurant or catering environment. You'll also be confident working on all sections of the main kitchen, and be able to supervise the junior cooks in your area.
You'll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You'll have exceptional interpersonal skills and good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. Having good PC literacy is a must.
