This full-time role will run for the remainder of the academic year, with the opportunity to progress onto the school's SCITT teacher training programme in September.

Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Outstanding primary school in Haringey with excellent transport links and on-site parking

Start Date: ASAP after the Easter break

Duration: Until the end of the academic year, with a SCITT teacher training opportunity from September

Pay Rate: £100 - £120 per day

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2, helping them to develop their confidence, learning skills, and engagement in the classroom. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring teacher to gain first-hand experience before embarking on a SCITT teacher training programme in September.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting class teachers with planning and lesson delivery

Providing one-on-one or small group interventions to boost learning

Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

Assisting with assessments and tracking student progress

Encouraging student engagement and fostering a love for learning

What We Are Looking For:

A passion for education and a desire to become a teacher

Experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, teaching assistant roles, youth work)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning support

A degree (preferred but not essential)
