Westlakes Recruit are currently looking for several Manufacturing engineers, on a contract basis, in the reading area.

The suitable candidate will:

- Would have detailed understanding and experience of manufacturing, testing techniques and design/quality standards for high reliability pressure equipment or structural components.
- A working knowledge of the design and operation, alongside effective communication skills to work with the external stakeholders.
- Training and support can be provided to supplement candidates where further development in specific areas may be necessary.
- Conducting on-site Independent Witnessing of manufacturing processes, methods and testing.
- Provision of impartial, balanced and proportionate advice to the client in support of the manufacture of future projects.
- Representing the client at meetings with external stakeholders and their contractors.
- Preparation of reports to articulate and brief findings.
- Conducting work according to the best applicable safety, technical and regulatory standards, consistent with relevant good practice and quality assurance.
- Complying with information security requirements.
- Professional training in science or engineering.
- Detailed knowledge within the manufacture of pressure retaining systems or equivalent structural components through relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience.
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge or experience of nuclear engineering is desirable
