Role: Team Lead - Control Systems

As the Team Lead - Control Systems, you will:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Engage in ongoing research to enhance capabilities.
  • Support cross-functional teams to optimise designs and drive business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience Required:

  • Leading the engineering of automotive or motorsport systems/components within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, engineering consultancy, or motorsport team.
  • Managing, scheduling, budgeting, and resourcing of significant tasks or projects.
  • Working on up to 800V systems as a Senior Authorised Person/Person in Charge.
  • Developing code for applications such as BMS, charging, vehicle control, etc., at a senior level.

Skills Required:

  • Software Proficiency: Expert in high-level software packages like Matlab/Simulink.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in model-based code generation, Python, C, C++, C#, etc.
  • Engineering Documentation: Skilled in producing and checking documents, models, calibrations, reports, etc.
  • Software Debugging: Experienced with tools such as CANalyser, CANape, etc.
  • DFMEA Process: Knowledgeable in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
  • Problem-Solving: Expert in structured problem-solving approaches and analytical tools like 8D and Ishikawa.
  • Techniques: Proficient in applying analytical techniques, manufacturing processes, materials specifications, and standard parts.
  • Regulatory Standards: Expert in identifying and applying regulatory requirements to produce compliant designs.
