The Role

The Mooring Operator's tasks include mooring and unmooring vessels, rigging and de-rigging hoses and arms, re-rigging during cargo/ballast operations, and performing general and planned maintenance as directed. The role requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Principal Responsibilities

* To moor and unmoor vessels in accordance with safe working practices and Company agreed procedures from the quayside or onboard line vessels

* Connecting and disconnecting loading arms, hoses, to ensure product integrity

* Operating a hand-held VHF radio, for communicating with colleagues or vessels

* Assist with Crewing Pilot launches and workboats as required

* Undertake training as required to comply with Company regulations and legislative requirements

The Candidate

The Mooring Operator will be required to work on a shift, (following the site shift pattern). This will be after the training where you work as directed by the training team and the operations manager
