Our client, a provider of acute mental health care, has an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join their team. What we’re looking for?

  • NMC Registration: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Previous experience in acute mental health settings is highly desirable.
  • Compassionate Approach: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and person-centred care.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Confident in engaging with patients, families, and team members effectively.
  • Organisational Skills: Capable of managing complex caseloads and maintaining thorough documentation.

 

Your day-to-day:

  • Patient Care: Deliver exceptional, person-centred care to individuals with acute mental health needs.
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop tailored care plans in collaboration with the wider clinical team.
  • Crisis Management: Provide responsive and effective care during acute mental health episodes, ensuring safety and support for patients and their families.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications in accordance with regulatory and clinical guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff, to deliver holistic care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Support and Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients, promoting their rights and supporting their recovery journey.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed on best practices in mental health nursing and contribute to the ongoing improvement of care standards.
