Facility Manager

Alexander Associates are working with a groundbreaking launch provider who are seeking an experienced Facility Manager.

Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, this role requires a high degree of collaboration. You will work alongside various teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and administration, to ensure that facility operations support and enhance our rocket manufacturing processes. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, crucial for our ambitious projects.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks as a Facility Manager

* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring all activities comply with safety standards and regulations.

* Manage facility maintenance, including scheduling repairs and ensuring the upkeep of equipment and infrastructure.

* Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth operational flow and address any logistical challenges.

* Implement and maintain effective facility management systems, including energy management and waste reduction strategies.

* Lead facility expansion and improvement projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.

* Develop and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

* Manage facility budgets, including maintenance, utilities, and improvement projects.

Desired Experience & Skills of the Facility Manager:

* Extensive experience in facility management, particularly in manufacturing or industrial settings, with a proven track record of maintaining and improving complex facilities.

* Strong understanding of environmental sustainability practices in facility management, with experience implementing eco-friendly initiatives.

* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and lead a diverse team.

* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, with experience developing and enforcing safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

* Skilled in managing facility budgets, including maintenance, utilities, and project costs, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

* Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to adapt to changing circumstances and find innovative solutions to operational challenges.

* Familiarity with modern facility management software and technologies.
