Role responsibilities
- Advising owner-managed and privately owned businesses on tax strategy and planning
- Managing compliance work across a client portfolio, including reviews of corporate tax returns
- Supporting clients with transactions, succession planning, reorganisations and shareholder value extraction
- Proactively identifying opportunities for clients to achieve tax efficiencies
- Working closely with other departments to provide a joined-up, value-added service
- Building long-standing client relationships based on trust and commercial awareness
- Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior tax staff
- Keeping up to date with tax legislation and HMRC developments to ensure technical accuracy

Candidate requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with at least three years’ post-qualification tax experience
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and planning
- Demonstrated experience advising privately owned businesses and their shareholders
- Commercial awareness and the ability to align tax advice with broader business goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage projects and mentor junior colleagues
