HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers

Location - Shepton Mallet, Radstock, Avonmouth, Bridgewater, Highbridge

Salary:

* Days £16.00 Paye - £18.50 Ltd per hour

* Nights Out £24.00 per night out

Shift pattern, Sunday - Saturday

We're looking for qualified and experienced HGV class 1 drivers for regular tramping work on an ongoing basis, based in Shepton Mallet, Radstock, Avonmouth, Bridgewater or Highbridge.

The role is completing a range of different class 1 roles, trunking, RDC to RDC, ensuring customers receive a high level of customer service.

Key tasks:

* Delivering items to customers

* Tramping

* Days 05.00 - 06.00 start times

* Tramping is worked over a seven day operation so you can start any day of the week for 5 or 6 days work a week or 4 on 4 off.

* Experience required/Personal attributes.

* You will need complete an 2 hour introduction before starting

* Start date will be in March covering holidays and sickness.

* Introduction and assessment must be completed before start date which will take 2 hours at Shepton Mallet.

Duties:

* Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations

* Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment

* Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods

* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

* Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption

* Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries

Requirements:

* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)

* Clean driving record with no major violations

* Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role

* Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers

* Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

* Strong communication and customer service skills
