SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School in North Tyneside

This role involves providing 1:1 support and small group interventions to children with SEND, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Your Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support to children with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

1:1 support for a Reception age pupil with:

Complex communication difficulties

Lower learning and cognition skills

Short attention span

Occasional low mood and frustrations

Assisting the class teacher in delivering inclusive learning activities.

Helping manage behaviour and create a safe and engaging learning environment.

Supporting the child to reach their academic and personal potential.

The Ideal Candidate:

We're looking for someone who has:

Experience working with children, especially those with SEND.

A passion for supporting primary school pupils in their learning and development.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
