Salary £27,000 - £33,000 depending on experience

An independent practice in the Newport area of Shropshire, is now looking for a Semi Senior Accountant.

The practice is well regarded locally, and they provide a range of Accountancy and Tax services to local clients from a range of different industries.

They are registered with ACCA, and could provide study support on this pathway. They would like to find someone who is at least AAT qualified though (2/3/4), and you do not necessarily need to take the ACCA study route.

Duties of the role:

* Preparing the bookkeeping and VAT management for a range of clients

* Preparing statutory accounts, and helping to oversee the work of junior staff

* Dealing with incoming client queries

* Helping clients with communications to HMRC

* Preparing personal tax returns, and corporate tax computations

* Working closely with senior management

Progression into a Senior Accountant position is available as your experience develops.

The ideal candidate:

* At least 3 years of practice experience

* AAT 4 qualified (2/3 optional)

* Potentially studying or with plans to undertake ACCA exams

* Good working accountancy and tax knowledge

* Experience of sole traders, partnerships, limited companies across a range of sectors

The role offers:

* Full time - 5 days per week

* Based in the office in Newport (Shropshire)

* Study support for ACCA

* Salary circa £27,000 - £33,000 depending on experience
