Our Client is looking for a skilled Maintenance Control Engineer to join their dynamic team at a leading factory solutions specialist in Coventry. This critical role focuses on managing and optimizing maintenance processes to ensure the smooth operation of factory systems. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams to reduce downtime, enhance equipment performance, and ensure the factory is running at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee all maintenance activities across factory operations, ensuring timely repairs and minimal disruption to production.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to maximize the lifespan of equipment and reduce breakdowns.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure maintenance schedules align with operational needs and deadlines.
- Provide technical support in diagnosing and troubleshooting machinery issues, particularly in emergency situations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and machinery performance for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialist repairs or equipment upgrades.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience in maintenance control within a factory or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing environments.
- Experience with ABB Seaman Step 7 or similar control systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to technical breakdowns.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- A valid UK driving license.
