Job Ad: Teaching Assistant - East Leeds - Primary Schools

Reed Education is working in partnership with a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) in East Leeds to recruit experienced Teaching Assistants for short-term positions in primary schools. In this role, you will support and assist individual students or small groups to help them throughout their school day. Our goal is to find candidates who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives and learning journeys of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing the classroom for each session in collaboration with the class teacher
• Providing extra support to children as needed
• Assisting teachers in planning and record-keeping
• Supporting teachers in managing class behavior

The ideal candidate will:

• Be patient and able to build strong working relationships with children
• Have an empathetic nature
• Be approachable, kind, and caring towards all children and have a thorough understanding of safeguarding in a school setting
• Have experience working with special needs
• Have strong behavior management skills
