About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our team on a supply basis, working with nursery-aged children in various primary schools across Selby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and is looking for flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support the development of nursery-aged children.
Provide individual and group support to children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel secure and confident to explore and learn.
Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, tidy, and inviting classroom environment.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety at all times.
Encourage positive behaviour and support children in developing their personal, social, and communication skills.Requirements:

Relevant qualifications in Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, or equivalent).
Experience working with nursery-aged children, preferably within a school setting.
A good understanding of the EYFS framework and principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with young children.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings and with varying schedules.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).Benefits:
