W Talent is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a manufacturing client in Dinnington who is seeking a Production Controller (essentially a Buyer/Planner) to join their team in the new year. The Production Controller is a newly created position during an exciting period in the business's growth journey.

This is a hybrid role designed to suit your preferred way of working, with flexible start and finish times if required.

The business has a strong growth plan and provides a niche technical product to a variety of industries. A full job description is available, but in summary, the Production Controller position comprises of:

• Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing materials, including raw materials, electronic components, cabling, engraving services, and others
  • Managing approximately 12 suppliers and subcontractor businesses
  • Providing analysis and reporting on material flow and productivity
  • Producing work schedules for assembly lines
  • Project: Working with the Operations Manager and COO to rationalize current suppliers and identify potential new subcontractors, including performing due diligence on prospective companies

Ideal Candidate:

• Manufacturing experience is highly preferable, even if only a small amount of time has been spent in the sector
• Purchasing and planning experience is required prior to applying - this includes raising PO numbers for materials and producing schedules for material flow and stock control
• Must be a driven self-starter if choosing to work on a hybrid basis
• Confident in using ERP systems and Excel
• Full UK Right to Work with no requirement for sponsorship at any time is essential
