Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our client's site at their manufacturing site near Haverhill

The Maintenance Manager will be a key team player within the SLT, responsible for site maintenance operations on a day-to-day basis and adept at driving continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities as Maintenance Manager:

Planning and organising all planned preventative maintenance activities.
Reviewing systems for monitoring the plant and its equipment, to ensure faults are identified, production downtime is minimised, and product quality is consistently maintained.
Managing the ordering and storage of spare parts and essential engineering equipment.
Undertaking daily, weekly and monthly checks for compliance and audit purposes.
Day to day management of the Engineering team.
Asset care and relaiblity.
Work on best practice for your team within the business.
Reviewing, monitoring, maintaining safe systems of work for the Engineering team, to ensure all duties are undertaken in line with current health & safety legislation.
Ensuring staff training record are maintained and up to date following relevant training guidelines and legislation.
Ensure clear lines of communication are maintained with other departments within the business.

Career progressionSkills & Experience required to be a Maintenance Manager:

Proven experience working in a similar management role, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
A minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or related subject) or time served experience.
A good understanding of costs, quantities, timescales and contract terms for any work undertaken.
Proven ability to communicate at all levels.
Proactive, approachable and motivated.
Flexible approach to working hours
Experience working on Cap-Ex and CI projects would be desirable within an engineering field,
